Peanut product recalls hurt Foodbank effort
February 27th, 2009: Peanut butter is a staple for food banks and with the nationwide salmonella outbreak linked to a Virginia company, local offices are pulling products.

The Foodbank serves a 4,725-square-mile target area including the cities of Norfolk, Portsmouth, Chesapeake, Suffolk, Franklin and Virginia Beach as well as the counties of Southampton, Northampton, Sussex, Isle of Wight and Accomack.
