WAVY TV10 reported last evening: “A rise in need and drop in donations has the Foodbank of Southeastern Virginia issuing an urgent plea for help. In the past year, the Foodbank says it has helped 330,000 people, up 32% from the previous fiscal year. Marianne Smith, Chief Development Officer for the Foodbank, says food and monetary donations have dropped significantly over the past two months. She is asking community members and businesses to host food drives. You can deliver donations directly to the Foodbank or one of its many drop-off sites.”
